Single Dive and Two Dives

Single Dive and Two Dives

Single dive is also called solo diving or diving without a buddy. We suggest you take up solo-diving only if you are an experienced diver. It was not until 1999 that solo diving formally entered into the certification roll by SDI. Although PADI, NAUI, and other agencies have not included this type of diving certificate until now, solo diving has slowly gained acceptance among diving enthusiasts worldwide.

Many experienced divers who have exceptional skills and are self-sufficient underwater opt to dive solo.

Advantages Of Solo/Single Diving

  • Experienced underwater photographers and videographers prefer diving solo so that they can focus on their mission without relying on a dive buddy.
  • You could travel and explore the most adventurous underwater sites without really waiting for a “Yes” from your dive buddy.

Disadvantages Of Solo/Single Diving

  • Diving without a buddy is hugely unsafe if you are untrained to do solo dives.
  • You cannot rely on another diver for help.
  • Responsibility of the whole Dive would rest on you.
